Some parents like to make the first day of school an extra special occasion, complete with customized first day of school t-shirts. If that is you, then you are going to like this post because we are looking at some super cute DIY Back to School T-shirts! There are so many cool ideas from which to choose. Take a look at some of my favorites and see if you want to make one for your student!
What Senior doesn’t want to sparkle on her first day back to school?! These numbers and letters are available at craft stores. They are sold as easy-to-do transfers, so just about any crafter can pull off this look.
This is an Etsy T-shirt, but I you could easily achieve this look with an iron on transfer. Those are also sold in craft stores. You need a computer and printer to make and print your design, but they turn out so cute!
This is an embroidered Tee, but you don’t have to have an embroidery sewing machine to make a shirt that has the same message. You could do this with puff paint or an iron transfer or maybe a combination of both!
If you can’t get over how adorable these girls look in these notebook t-shirts, you are not alone! It looks like they wrote their own names too, so cute!
This clever shirt makes a joke about having to wake up for school. I know plenty of kids who like to hit that snooze button.
This is also a sparkle transfer project, except this time it is a fancy font. You don’t even need a new shirt to pull this off. Give an old favorite shirt new life with this sparkly transfer.
I hope these shirts gave you some good ideas for making something extra special for your student this back to school season. Why not go the extra mile and make your young one feel a little more excited about hitting the school yard on their first day back. You could make a tradition of this and snap a back to school picture each school year with your child in their custom shirt! That would make a precious memory photo book, I think!
